Researcher Mobility Scheme (RMS)

About the Researcher Mobility Scheme

The Researcher Mobility Scheme (RMS) at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) supports early career researchers in strengthening international research collaboration through short-term research visits to overseas institutions.

The scheme enables UBD researchers to work with international collaborators, access specialized facilities, and undertake research activities that may not be available locally. These visits are designed to contribute to high-quality research outputs and long-term academic partnerships.

Research Activities

Through RMS, researchers may engage in activities such as developing joint research proposals, conducting specialized experimental work, validating research findings, and preparing publications with international collaborators. The programme aims to enhance research capacity and foster sustained collaboration between UBD and global research institutions.

Eligibility

This scheme is open only to UBD researchers who are early in their academic careers, specifically within 10 years of obtaining their PhD, and who are actively engaged in research at the University.

Further Information

For UBD staff, further information on eligibility, application procedures, and policy guidelines is available through the UBD Staff Portal.
