ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS)
What is it?
- A full scholarship for Master’s, Doctoral and Research Scholars.
What is covered?
- Stipend and one-time settlement fee
- Tuition fee
- Medical insurance
- Round-trip airfare
- Accommodation
Who is eligible?
- Citizens of ASEAN Member State;
- In sound physical and mental health;
- Proficient in English (IELTS of at least 6.0 or TOEFL of at least 80);
- Holder of undergraduate degree and under the age of 45 for applying for Master’s degree;
- Holder of graduate/Master’s degree and under the age of 45 if applying for a PhD degree;
- Holder of at least an undergraduate degree to apply for the short-term research program;
- Having at least one year of work experience within government agencies, public or private institutions, universities, think-tanks or similar social agencies;
- NOT a concurrent awardee of a Chinese government scholarship;
- Meets the admission requirements of the Chinese Universities to which the applicant has applied.
Scholarship amounts:
- Master’s Degree:
- 2-3 academic years
- Stipend of 4,000 RMB/month
- One- time settlement fee of 3,000 RMB
- Doctoral Degree:
- 3-4 academic years
- Stipend of 5,000 RMB/month
- One- time settlement fee of 3,000 RMB
- Research Scholars:
- 4-5 months
- Stipend of 5,000 RMB/month
- One- time settlement fee of 3,000 RMB
