About The Botanical Research Centre

The UBD Botanical Research Centre (UBD BRC) is the first botanic garden in Brunei Darussalam, dedicated to the research, education, and conservation of the country’s diverse plant life. Located on the UBD campus, the six-hectare garden contains over 500 species of tropical plants, many native to Brunei and Borneo. Managed by the Institute for Biodiversity and Environmental Research (IBER) at UBD, the centre focuses on scientific research and is a member of Botanic Garden Conservation International (BGCI).
